Easily use this monthly budget planner template
To use this planner, follow these steps:
First, enter your income sources, the amount you expect to get from each source.
Once you have done that, you can add up the total for your monthly income and enter that in the total box.

Next, you need to add in your bills and fixed expenses. These are the things that you pay for every month, and the amount is generally the same.
Enter each bill/expense and the amount for each.
Once you have done that you can add up the total for all the bills and enter it in the section’s total box.

The rest of your monthly spending goes in the variable expenses box.
Add in things like groceries and gas for your car, plus the amount you usually spend on those during the month.
When you have added all of your variable spending, add up the total for all those expenses and put it in the total box.

Saving money is important, no matter what phase of your financial journey you are on…even if you can only save a little bit.
So make sure to use the savings section to plan to put away money for a planned expense or an emergency.
Total up all of your planned savings for the month.

And if you are tackling a debt monster, make sure to add extra to the debts you want to focus on paying off.
Account for those extra payments in the extra debt section and add up how much extra you will be paying.

Did you make a plan for all of your money? Did you over or under plan?
Use the Income-Expenses box to see how you did. If you are at, or very close to $0 leftover, give yourself a pat on the back!
If you have a negative number, time to evaluate that spending or look at bringing in more income.
Do you have more money leftover? Save it, or put it to more debt, or have some fun with it!
