It is no secret that, if you want to have control over your finances, you have to make a plan for those finances.

And that plan usually involves the dreaded “budget” word.

But, if you can believe it, budget does not have to be a bad word in your vocabulary.

Honestly… I hear budget and think freedom!

When making a budget, you get to decide where your money goes.

You have control over your money decisions and your spending.

A budget is a guide, that YOU make, to help you make good money choices.

A budget should be your best friend when it comes to your money goals and dreams.

So to help you create this awesome master plan for your money, we created a budget sheet to help you get there!

This sheet is easy and straightforward to use. And it looks pretty too.

To help you create your new personal money guide (aka budget) we will go over how best to use this budgeting worksheet.

First, make sure to download this sheet and print it out. You can print out as many as you need!

Write in the month you are making this budget for.

Next you want to enter in your income for the month.

Give each income source a name, and enter how much each source should be depositing into your bank account.

Add up all your sources of income and put that total into the income total box.

When your income actually hits your bank account, you can add that amount into the actual column.

Next, you need to add in your bills and fixed expenses.

These are the things that you pay for every month, and the amount is generally the same.

Enter each bill/expense and the amount for each.

Once you have done that you can add up the total for all the bills and enter it in the section’s total box.

The rest of your monthly spending goes in the variable expenses box.

Add in things like groceries and gas for your car, plus the amount you usually spend on those during the month.

When you have added all of your variable spending, add up the total for all those expenses and put it in the total box.

Saving money is important, no matter what phase of your financial journey you are on…even if you can only save a little bit.

So make sure to use the savings section to plan to put away money for a planned expense or an emergency.

Total up all of your planned savings for the month.

And lastly, If you have debts that you pay on every month, or are working to pay off, those need to be listed in the Debt section.
