The $1000 in 52 weeks challenge is the money saving hack for you!
What is the $1000 in 52 weeks saving challenge?
The $1000 in 52 weeks challenge is a spin off of the 52 week saving challenge.
In the original challenge, you start saving $1 in week one. In week two you save $2.

And you continue saving each week, adding one dollar more than the previous week.
Until you get to week 52 when you save $52. Then you will have saved $1358 in total.
In this challenge though, we focus on getting to that $1000 mark.
To do that, you will save a set amount each week, as shown in the printable tracker for the challenge.

You will save either $10 a week, or $20 a week, depending on the week you are working on.
Over the course of the 52 weeks, you will be able to save the full $1000, just by saving $10 or $20 each week!
How to do the $1000 in 52 weeks challenge
First make sure to download a copy of the tracker here and print it out.
Then, put it in a place where you will see it often.
Doing so will help keep your goal top of mind and help you stay motivated.
Next you want to decide on your start date.
You can start this challenge ANYTIME (no need to wait for a New Years Resolution to do it).
Now, you are ready to save your first weekly amount.

Check out the amount next to week one.
That is how much you need to save.
Put that amount of money in a designated place for this savings challenge. (A HYSA is a great place to stash it).
Once you have saved the designated amount, check off the week 1 box, so you know you have saved for that week.
The next week, save the amount for week 2. And follow the above steps.
The tracker will let you know exactly how much you need to save each week, AND how much you have saved over all.
Keep going until you have saved for each week and saved $1,000!
