You can download your copy of this budget sheet here.

And we will go over how to use it so you can get started right away!
First things first–enter in the month for the budget you are creating.
This is going to help you stay organized. No more wondering what month that was for.
Then you need to enter your income.
We made the sheet have a couple of lines, in case you have multiple income sources.

Enter your income info and then total up how much income you have coming in for the month.
Next are your fixed expenses.
You know the ones–those bills that have to get paid every month, on the dot.
Fill in your fixed expense into the bills section.
And then add the amounts all together and enter that total into the bills total box.

Now you should move over to the Expense section.
This is where you need to enter all your other monthly spending for the month–this could include things like groceries, gas, fun money, personal spending.
Anything and everything else.

Make sure to include the total for all that spending in the expense total box.
The final section of the planner is the savings and debt section.
This is where you get to work on your goals.
What do you want or need to save for?
Are you working on paying off debt?
Doing a little of both at the same time?
Whatever your money goals are, this section is where you put them.

Give each savings and debt a name and how much you will spend on each one.
Tally up how much you are sending to savings and debt and enter that total into the box.
The last step of this sheet is the little summary box.
Enter your total income.
Add up the total of all your bills, expenses and savings/debt.
Enter that number in the second box.
Then take your income and subtract the total of everything else.

The goal is to have $0 left over so that every dollar you have is being given a job, and not just disappearing into nothing.
If this number is positive, and you have funds leftover, that is okay!
Decide if you want to save more or put more towards debt.
If you ended up with a negative number, that can be harder to work with.
Take a look at spending and see where you can cut back.
Maybe you need to not save quite as much. Oor you may need to find a way to bring in more money.
